Offering K9 Nosework™ Classes

Ascent Dog Training teaches Nosework™ classes employing the methods and practices of the NACSW™. Dogs work one at a time while the other dogs in the class wait their turn crated in another area or their owners’ car. All Introduction To K9 Nosework™ classes are taught using primary reward for at least the first 6 weeks. The addition of target odor begins sometime after the second 6 week class and after the introduction of three of the four search elements (Containers, Interiors and Exteriors). Advanced classes introduce Vehicle searches as well as more complex searches and meet in and around Hillsborough, NC in various locations in order to allow dogs to generalize their learning.
